The Characteristics to be an Effective Entrepreneur

Before a doctor diagnoses a specific disease, his patient must undergo a series of laboratory exams and assessments. He has to know the history of his patient and how lifestyle affected his present health problem. As results come in, that would be an indication of the time when a physician gives specific drugs and therapies for maintenance. This will eventually contribute to the level of optimum health for that individual. If all else fails, the process will be repeated again.

Similar to what the abovementioned situation has stated, an entrepreneur’s responsibility would be pretty much the same. It’s just that, he should see his customers as his patients and what they must have to survive a present predicament or a need. He must follow certain steps before doing anything irrational that could contribute to the downfall of his business. He should have certain characteristics innate in his personality for if he lacks one of these, he’s most probably doomed to fail.

Entrepreneurship is collectively defined as exhibiting one’s vision, taking action, and pursuing that vision as a goal to be achieved in life as service to reality. In the meaningless definition, it’s getting your butt out of that couch and doing something rather than fulfilling your life’s destiny of being a couch potato. Stated below are some of the distinct attitudes an entrepreneur should positively have:

• Optimism – is foreseeing things in a positive way notwithstanding any circumstances that may hinder progress. The assertiveness of an individual depends on his knowledge of how to handle a difficult situation

• Creativity – is thinking outside the box. Expanding one’s mind of what is beyond the ordinary through fine research and collection of data.

• Stability – either physical, mental, social or emotional, a leader must possess a stable life which means he could handle tough situations during tough times

• Charismatic – intelligence of communicating with different walks of life. Who says a charming man is less than an intelligent one? A good entrepreneur must have the certain magic glistening in his eyes and could convey enchanting words to get hold of that convincing power no one dare resist.

• Risk-taker – as someone beginning his own dream, he should be stern and must have the guts and the balls to take the big leap of plunging into his own doom or success. He should not be afraid of taking chances when opportunity strikes.

• Energetic – willing to do whatever it takes to reach to the finish line. His drive must always be at its highest level for being an entrepreneur would make you work overtime. His enthusiasm must prevail the next best thing.

• Time bound – like a written report in a newspaper, an entrepreneur must be on the top of every innovation. By looking at our past, we could predict our future.

Small businesses, in time, would turn out big if the scope of management exceeds what is expected. So it is necessary for a beginner to be positive about his endeavors. He must be very observant of what his environment lacks and needs. He should have sturdy shoulders to put on extra weight of carrying a responsibility that could change his or her life.

One’s greatest failure is sticking with the mentality of being conventional. This would be one of an entrepreneur’s greatest downfalls. Think big. Act. Make your business dreams come true.

The Four Critical Criteria For Evaluating If A Network Marketing Company Is A Legitimate Opportunity

In my many years of being in the home business industry ,specificly Network Marketing I have learned from mentors, what to look for before I join a company. Here my four, which is not in any partucular order.

1. What is the product?

Do they offer products and/or services that have real value? Is it something there is a real market for? Do you want it yourself or will you end up with a pile of product in your garage? If a health product, is there clinical research to back it up? Are they patented?

2. What is the compensation plan?

Does it show the possibility for the income potential you want and how much work will it take me to get there? What is the ‘break even’ point where you move into profit? What percentage of company revenue is given back to the distributor in the form of commissions?

3. Who are the people at the top?

Do they have experience in the industry? Do they have integrity? Do they have the resources for sustained growth?

4. How does the “timing factor” affect the picture in relation to your goals?

Most network marketing companies, even legitimate structures with good products, fold within six to seven months time for a number of reasons. If a company is moving past that time period with solid growth, a demonstrated commitment to upgrading its systems and services, a solid record of ‘on time’ payments of commissions to distributors, and has meet the above criteria, it becomes worth giving serious consideration as a ‘ground floor’ opportunity.

The first one to three years of a company involve accepting that a growth process is going on. Professional web sites and training materials take time and resources to produce. There will be times when support services may be slowed until extra staff can be brought on and trained to keep up with the growth, etc. This can be frustrating if you can’t simply accept it as part of the ‘what is.’ For those who are OK with that developmental process, there can be a big payoff though. You get to capitalize on ‘first movers’ advantage’ and benefit from a wave of rapid company expansion. This is a time when you can put two to three years of steady energy into it and achieve your dream.

Imagine being in on the start of Microsoft! When a company moves into its fourth or fifth year it moves into maturity. At this point, there is less to put up with in terms of the ups and downs of the developmental process and the company has stabilized a structure. The thing to look for here is a demonstrated commitment to continued product and pay plan expansion to maintain momentum. The company needs to periodically re-invent itself. Even with this, though, it will probably take four years, or more, to generate the same results that you can get in two to three with a ground floor opportunity.

When you do find company make sure it something that you have to be passionate about and also remember that Network Marketing is not a get rich quick scheme . You have to put forth some effort for you to succeed!

Discover Entrepreneurial Activities for a Successful Business

Ever wonder what goes inside a busy day of an entrepreneur living up to his entrepreneurial functions and activities? Basically, a lot. The very first thing that would enter his mind when he wakes up in the morning is how to show efficiency and effectiveness to the client the benefit of his presentation. Then he would walk into his office and meet with them.

He would emphasize the importance of patronizing his ideas. When they shook hands with it, an entrepreneur knows that’s the start of a brand new day.

But meeting up with the expectations is not all that there is. An entrepreneur’s responsibility doesn’t stop there. He’s mind should always think beyond the unthinkable and recheck his assets to support it. The cost is great but the risks are greater. An entrepreneur not only sacrifices his reputation at stake but also his trust fund.

In summary, there are only 3 important daily routines an entrepreneur incorporates with his life: Organize, coordinate and mobilize. He must have the ability to balance all three because when one is lost, the others might be compromised.

Organizing includes creativity, innovativeness and strategy of pulling it altogether. The spirit of a true warrior has to be present. He is knowledgeable that a positive attitude and the will to walk the extra mile with no hesitation would gain much profit. He always does his research, gather data, and think of ways on how to expand his own establishment.

Coordinating means communicating. Explaining the pros and cons. Talking to people who can supply resources like raw materials, facilities, and machineries needed for the business to get on its track. A blurry conversation between the entrepreneur and the supplier would affect the rate and quality of production.

Mobilizing the people who works wholeheartedly for him must also be prioritized. An iron hand always gets a business into trouble. He adds benefits. He knows that what he needs is similar to what his laborers need. This is crucial to establish one big happy working environment.

These activities must be balanced. One thing lacks or exceeds, the whole process messes up. His functions are elaborated more.

The function to think

• Think of numerous possibilities beyond human expectation

• Think of who needs what

• Think of how to handle a question or a problem by providing different possible answers

• Making decisions without the fear of being crucified the moment he mess things up

• Think of how much everything would cost

• Think of how much he would profit

• Think of what others might not think

• Elaborates and explains to further understanding

The function to act

• Act according to his plans

• Act that exceeds to what is expected

• Act with passion and charisma

• Act giving pride to the phrase “1% inspiration, 99% perspiration”

• Act bearing the dignity, respect and trust

• Act like the world owes you big time

• Act like no one has acted before

If all of these functions seem easy for you to conjure, then your good to go. But if situations and predicaments are holding you back, you are bound to fail. Remember, balance in everything is how you and others benefit. Function as you are expected to function and find glory in it.

What is an Entrepreneur?

People enjoy a lot of comforts as they go through life each day. Have you ever wondered who are responsible for all these life’s comforts? You have to thank the entrepreneurs for it. But, what is an entrepreneur?

Entrepreneur has many meanings. If you want to know exactly what it means, just keep on reading.

A person who assumes business responsibility and the risks that comes along with it is called an entrepreneur. As an entrepreneur, one expects to make profits, whether big or small, depending on the business he or she is involved in. generally, the entrepreneur decides which product or service to offer, obtain the needed facilities, hires the required labor force, acquire production materials, and provides for the capital.

There is no assurance that the business will become a success. However, if the business proves to be a success, the entrepreneur will reap all the benefits and rewards in terms of the profits. In case of a loss, the entrepreneur will also be the one to suffer.

Assuming business responsibilities is definitely not an easy task. Not many individuals are willing to take huge responsibilities, and most especially take all the risks. Only an experienced and knowledgeable individual will dare to become an entrepreneur. The ultimate goal of an entrepreneur is to earn profits.

By putting up a small business, you will also earn limited returns but by establishing a big business, you will also earn more profits. The choice will depend on the entrepreneur and his or her available resources.

As the most important person in a business venture, an entrepreneur will be the one to decide which product or service to offer. He or she must be able to determine the needs of the people and provide the answer to such needs. A careful study of the targeted market is required. This takes time because one can’t decide immediately what product or service to offer.

Once the products or services are identified, it is now time for the entrepreneur to obtain all the needed facilities. This will include the building or the place of business.

Along with it are the other things needed such as the office furniture, fixtures, and many other things. The capital is usually provided by the entrepreneur and a part of it will be allotted for the acquisition of the facilities. Later on, these things will be considered as one of the assets of the business.

Recruitment of the labor force is also an important part of being an entrepreneur. The business will not succeed if it doesn’t have a loyal labor force. Everyone should work together in order to achieve success. It is therefore of utmost importance to hire only the qualified employees.

As you can see, the entrepreneur has to take care of many things. This may be one reason why not many individuals are willing to become one. If the business succeeds or fails, it is all because of the entrepreneur.

Now that you know what an entrepreneur is, would you like to become one? Well, if you have the right attitude, skills, and qualifications, you too can become an entrepreneur. It would be best to embark on a humble beginning. Don’t attempt to reach the peak of success all at once. It takes hard work, dedication, and perspiration. You must take one step at a time.

Be Your Own Boss

One thing that is great about have a home based business, whether its a traditional business,Network Marketing or franchise.  You get to be your own boss.  No body telling when you when to take a lunch, how long you have for lunch, what time to come in and what time to leave, etc.  Where you get paid what your worth, not some one else telling you  what your worth.    You see….  I just got a phone call from one of my friends.  He told me he got laid off  from his job.   A couple months ago, I introduced him  to my business,he told me that it wasn’t for him.  I know if he had partnered with me , he would had something to fall back on.  Now he has to explain, to every prospective  employer why he got fired.  I wanted  tell me  ” I told you so” and that ” how times do you have to get fired,or laid off for you realize that is best to be your own boss and don’t worry about that happening”.  I didn’t tell him, cause he has to decide for himself.

Being in business for yourself is not for everyone.  There are people that simply don’t want to change what they are used to.  They are afraid to get out of there comfort zone.   They feel that there job gives them security.  But how  secured  is that job, when any day they can just lay you off or fire you.

The real security in life is to be your own boss.    Not only will you reap the rewards that you built, but you can truly leave a legacy for your family!

Mind Your Own Business

“Mind Your Own Business!” Heard by everyone, used at least once by someone.
“Mind Your Own Business” The statement used by someone who does not want you in their affairs.

Mind your own business…..The Battle cry for the successful entrepreneur. How so you ask?

How many successful people do you know, who do not invest their time and energy into what they do? How many successful business do you know who do not have a committed owner\operator.

Everyday people all around who excel in their professions have their mind on one thing:
The Business at hand

One day my cousin and I went to a department store to buy some clothes, my cousin John a picky young man decided that he wanted socks. We plowed into the men’s clothing department with a zeal of adventures. Tirelessly I waited for him to make a simple decision about socks. Eventually he decided on a group of thick socks to keep his feet warm during the winter. We walked towards the cashier, and a older gentleman stopped my cousin. John smiled at him and they talked about his business, and then John asked him a strange question. I found it odd that John would ask him the question, after all they were discussing his restaurant, and it’s growth, the amount of guests he was serving, so why would a simple questions like:
“How are Marci and the Kids?”
Be so odd?

My cousin John is a point of sale technician, he repairs and services point of sale computers, all over in San Diego county and several in the Los Angeles area.

John is a picky man in his private life, but in his business life, he is involved in his customers well being, their families, their business’……….

Because John’s Business is their business. By taking the time and energy to get to know their business’, he was minding his business. He took the extra step to understand, their business, and life, because thats what he does. He “Minds His Own Business”. Entrepreneurs all over the world focus themselves to reach that extra level that many of us dream of, but hesitate to achieve. It is the spark for a fire that makes a business thrive and burn.

Success is not gained by allowing yourself to just let your business run itself the moment it starts, your Job is to “Mind Your Own Business” so that when it’s time to let it run, it does so, just like a wild fire.

How many business ventures have you attempted and failed, how many have succeeded?
Of the ones that did can you say that “Minding your own business” was the reason why it succeeded?
If it failed did you hold the attitude to keep it going?

Success can be hard and long, it can be gratifying, and even painful, but as long as we “Mind our own business’” I’ve come to know success, and I think you will too.
